ICD Fellows contribute to the development of corporate governance policy and best practice, and can participate in ICD training programs and workshops as a facilitator or lecturer.

All members enjoy discounts on fees for ICD training courses and partner tie-ups. Fellows attend monthly breakfast roundtables, fellowship gatherings and the Distinguished Corporate Governance Speaker Series for free. Fellows and Graduate Members may attend one whole-day ICD training/course per year for free.

Fellows get recommended by ICD to boards upon company request, subject to the fit between professional qualifications and requirements of the corporation.

To qualify as an ICD Fellow or Graduate Member, the following criteria must be

    Full participation in the Institute’s Professional Directors Program (PDP)
    Shows sufficient familiarity with the various director issues that the Professional Directors Program covers
    Must be or have been a member of the board of a recognized and reputable professional / business / non-government organization for at least 2 years (for Fellows)*
    *If a successful applicant lacks sufficient board experience he/she will be named a Graduate Member until such board experience has been gained.
    Commitment to ethics, social responsibility and corporate governance as manifested by a pledge to participate in the Institute’s advocacy. Names of candidates are posted prior to acceptance for evaluation for Fellows to comment on their integrity and reputation.

The accreditation process takes approximately 3 months, from submission of the written examination given at the end of the PDP to member induction.

One may also join ICD as an Associate Member, and enjoy part of the Fellows’ benefits.

Requirements are:

    Attended any of the following ICD training programs or interventions: Corporate Governance (CG) Orientation, Strategy Execution Pathway, ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard
    Same as above
    Additional requirement: Endorsed by an ICD Fellow, member or staff; or passed due diligence.

The accreditation process takes approximately 1 month, from submission of application form and CV to confirmation of acceptance.
