The Professional Directors’ Program aims to expand your knowledge and appreciation of the role of a corporate director. This flagship program is designed to help professionalize the practice of corporate directorship and promote good corporate governance practices in the boardroom -- transcending from compliance to performance and board effectiveness.


Lectures, case studies, panel discussions, structured learning experiences, and simulation are facilitated by faculty who are recognized for their expertise. The 5-day program will also provide you with various tools (charter, scorecard, roadmap and checklists) that will allow you to develop guidelines on strategy, policy, monitoring and accountability.

Introduction to Finance for Directors



Introduction to Finance for Directors is a whole-day course which also compliments ICD’s Professional Directors Program and/or Corporate Governance Orientation Program. This course provides directors particularly new directors and senior executives basic skills to be able to interpret and assess company’s financial condition required to drive board decisions. 


It is a known and proven fact that financial competence is the link to corporate success and thus regulatory bodies (SEC, BSP, PSE, etc.) have all required financial literacy as a must for board directorship positions. 



By the end of the program, the participants are expected to:

Know the responsibilities and roles of a director relating to Financials.
Understand the importance of being able to interpret and read Financial statements
Appreciate the importance of maintaining the accuracy and integrity of your organization’s accounts.
Integrate the appropriate systems of internal controls, systems for financial risk management, operation control and compliance with laws & regulations.
