What is the Distinguished Corporate Governance
ICD’s Distinguished Corporate Governance Speaker Series (DCGSS)
brings the world’s foremost thinkers and practitioners to help Philippine
corporate directors add value to their boards.
This short course supports the goal of
the Securities and Exchange Commission represented in The Revised Code of
Corporate Governance to encourage the provision and facilitation
of relevant annual continual training for board directors.
quarter’s series is entitled “Challenges and Drivers of Talent Development:
A Board Perspective” with Prof. Alberto Ribera from IESE Business
School, University of Navarra as the speaker.
Professor Alberto Ribera is the
academic director of the IESE Coaching Unit and teaches the MBA course
“Personality and Leadership”, which earned him the 2009 IESE Award for
Excellence. He also teaches the Global Executive MBA course “Managing
Oneself”, and executive courses on self-leadership, relationships management
and executive coaching. He has authored
and co-authored nine (9) books and more than thirty (30) case-studies.
Prof. Ribera will speak on the
challenges and drivers of talent development from a board perspective in
response to the call to address acquisition, development and retention of key
talents, critical areas of performance for boards.
He will be joined by Atty. Jose Jesus G. Laurel, who will talk
about New Corporate Governance Code: Issues
and Challenges on Doing the Right Thing.
