Challenges and Drivers of Talent Development:  A Board Perspective

Professor Alberto Ribera of IESE flew in to Manila to talk about the Talent War and why Boards should pay attention to an audience of 72 fellows and partners.  


Professor Ribera presented statistics and concepts, and the importance of MQ in talent engagement, productivity and the impact to bottom lines.   The ensuing exchange of questions and answers to the panel facilitated by Mr. Senen Matoto  and Mr. Ricky Jacinto is indicative of the constant struggle of boards to rationalize the investments on talent development, and  the pressing and pervasive difficulty in aligning personal and corporate value systems.

Atty. JJ Laurel opened the event with an interesting exchange of information and feedback from the audience regarding the revised Corporate Governance Code.  Atty. Pete Maniego and ICD Trustee Ms. Ida Ceniza-Tiongson   assisted Atty. Laurel in the lively Q&A.

open the event with an interesting and interactive discussion on the new

parameters and measures in the recently released update of the corporate

governance code. 

Mr. Roberto Bascon fresh from an ACGS briefing from Kuala Lumpur in April  gave a preview on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard version 2.0.  Ranking activities will kick-start in June, 2017.   Atty. Lirene Mora-Suarez and Ms. Tammy Lipana provided reactions and insights and stressed the importance of pursuing best practices in Corporate Governance.
